Tui Balmes & Waxes Being Renamed As Songbird

Wednesday, 28 September 2011

'Songbird' is the new name / brand for the Tui Balmes and Massage Waxes range in Europe. The reason for the change is to avoid trademark conflict in this part of the world (they will stay under the Tui name in New Zealand and other countries.

The actual products are staying exactly the same, still made to the original Tui recipes. It is simply a brand name change occurring on the labels and brochures etc. Even the picture of the Tui bird is staying on the labels, just with the name 'Tui' being replaced by 'Songbird'.

As such you may see some confusing information during the changeover process, as many people will be used to looking for and searching for the Tui products, and yet newer press articles referring to them as Songbird. However they are the same products as loved by professional massage therapists, and over time the Songbird name should become more established.

In this crossover time (as this is written) we have some stock still using the Tui labels, and some that now has the Songbird name on it, so you may find a mixture in your parcel if you order several products. As supplies of labels are used up and new ones printed, more and more of the pots will bear the Songbird name.

We will be keeping mention of the Tui name to some extent on our website for a while, to cater for those will know the Tui name and are searching for their products, but this should explain why it will be a Songbird labeled pot that you get.
